Want to know your cevapi from your burek, gyros and ustipci? Bosnian Food #StreetFood
Posted On 10th October 2012
Do you know what a cevapi is or a burek, gyros or ustipci? Here’s your chance to find out a little more of what you can find on and off the street in Bosnia.
Last week I was in Bosnia and on the Friday night I headed into Banja Luka and met up with Jelena Joksimovic & Mihajlo Popovic of Ljepota & Zdravlje, health & beauty magazine in Banja Luka to ask them about Bosnian street food and Bosnian food in general. You will gather from the conversation that you are guaranteed a lot of meat whilst in the Balkans.
Afterwards we headed off around Banja Luka to try some of the food out like pljeskavica (right).
Thanks to my hosts Tam & David and www.holidayinbosnia.com
With music from Dexy’s Midnight Runners, Jackie Wilson, Goran Bregovic, Kirsty MacColl, Sanja Ilic & Balkanika, The Last Shadow Puppets, The Rolling Stones, Mikis Theodorakis and Ljiljana Buttler.

I just finished listening to your conversation with Jelena and Mihajlo, I liked it a lot. I’m a meat lover and I agree with Mihajlo, Karađorđeva shnicla rulez! 🙂
